After Father Delaney had a encounter with evil forces at the Our Lady of Sorrow Church, which left him blind; Delaney left the Parsonage and resigned to the Sunken Gardens. Father Bolen visited him and tried to share the mail Delaney has gotten back home, but he was shattered and broken. Also, following Bolen there, Sergeant Gionfriddo meet with Bolen outside of Sunken Gardens to ask about Delaney. However Bolen wasn't willing to talk. Gionfriddo then took a walk to the top overseeing part at the entrance where Delaney can be seen sitting in a catatonic state.
