Sergeant Gionfriddo was a Sergeant that witnessed the aftermath of the DeFeo Family murders at the Amityville house.
History[]
He was there the night after the events took place. He got a good look at the murderer, elder son of the DeFeo family, which later he remarked looked a lot like George Lutz when meeting George.
A year later, the police were called to the infamous Amityville house with what the house owners thought was a break-in. The Sergeant concluded that whatever it was, it came from the basement, yet he couldn't find how they got in down there. The Sergeant went ahead and promised he have the police have a watch on the house. The Sergeant himself, did infact watch the house from a car across the street.
At some point later he followed Kathy to the church where then he followed Father Bolen. He gathered that something was terribly wrong with Father Delaney, but Father Bolen would not tell him much.
