The demon of the Amityville Horror, OR a man's ghost "related" to the original murders, OR a man's ghost who died in The House appears as a spooky clown to the daughter of a widowed father. The concept is convoluted further with the girl being revealed as the clown under the mask.
The whole flick seems to be a metaphore of childhood trauma with the last shot, where the little girl is traveling with an old woman (herself?) instead of her father, after the last waking up. Because all through the movie if the clown would catch the child, or the girl would kill the clown, she just "wakes up".
There is very little dialogue, and a lot of walking around in the woods, and other places.
