George Lutz is the stepfather of the Lutz family. He is loosely based on the real life George Lutz.

It was revealed from the start, that George and Kathy had knowledge of the previous house owners terrible end. However, it was believed that it was the people or some other element and not the house that caused the son to murder his family.
At first it seemed like everything was okay with the new house. But within the first three days, he was already feeling somewhat cold, and wasn't comfortable with the house.
Aftermath[]
As noted in the epilogue title card at the end of the film, he lost everything in that house but what he already had in the van. Ultimately, they moved to another state.
