A iconic part of the overall franchise, the first publications of the book have a cover that is adorned by two of them. They are referenced in the book as being in the sawing room, which one of the windows looking out to the boathouse had a infestation of, in between the panes of glass. This was a reoccurring problem.
Adaptations[]
In Amityville Horror (1979) the flies instead were in the house among other places to run off Father Delaney. Later, when the car lost control and crashed into a sign, a fly could be seen on the cars front window.
